Wild About Horses Equestrian Center was established in 1998 by Pam Bowen Gibson.
My goal is to teach the fundamentals of a balanced rider, starting with the basics. Beginner through Advanced riders. We have school horses that accomodate all levels.
Horsemanship and Partnership on the ground and in the saddle is a MUST.
Kindness and Respect for our horses is a MUST!
We recently celebrated 27 years of teaching in the Lafayette area! We are proud of the riders that have actively continued on with their riding and will always enjoy the students that enjoyed riding just for the experience.
My passion is teaching through natural aids, of seat and legs to drive and and hands to guide. Soft feel is our goal and main component of the union between horse and rider.
My passion has lead me down several roads, all allow my diverse background and experience.
My first lessons as a young rider were highly influenced by Dressage for the Western rider. It has always been my style of teaching. I have been blessed to work under many clinicians with great expertise. I continue my journey focusing on the "Horse and Rider". Mentally and Physically we should be partners.
I have been fortunate to ride under many great clinicians and continue to educate myself.
To many to list...
My 2025 journey will also include lots more of Liberty Training.
